Horizon is a country cover band that originated in Bay City , Texas in the summer of 93. It's first gig was in Lake Jackson with out a name. The name Horizon came from Jeff Popp, Horizon's first bass player. It was one of 3 names that were thrown in a hat and selected out by David Wendel, Horizon's

first steel player and leader of the band. Horizon has always had a female singer as well. Janice Popp was the first keyboard and female singer. They have always played mostly top 40 country, but included hip-hop, classic rock and country. Originally, the band was 6 members. Since then, many changes have been made. It has always been the bands luck to always move forward no matter the hand that was dealt to them by leaving members or changes in the entertainment market.
